SACRAMENTO, CA — Assemblywoman Christy Smith (D-Santa Clarita) is pleased to announce her Assembly Bill (AB) 543 to expand education on school sexual harassment resources has been signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom. The bill requires 9th through 12th grade schoolsites to display culturally competent, age-appropriate posters in each bathroom and locker room.

SACRAMENTO, CA — Assemblywoman Christy Smith (D-Santa Clarita) is pleased to announce her Assembly Bill (AB) 1507, which updates the California Charter Schools Act, received Governor Gavin Newsom’s signature Thursday. AB 1507 closes a loophole in current law that allows a charter school to operate outside its authorizing district.

Join Assemblywoman Christy Smith (D-Santa Clarita) for a resource fair, featuring local and state agencies and non-profit organizations that will be delivering resources and information to seniors, their families and caregivers. Hosted in partnership with Bella Vida (Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center), the event will also feature informational seminars regarding fraud prevention, the REAL ID, the Medi-Cal program and more.
