2021 – Dr. Van Do-Reynoso
Dr. Do-Reynoso has been on the front lines of insuring the Santa Barbara community is informed during the covid-19 pandemic as the Director of Santa Barbara County Public Health Department. She continues to serve the Santa Barbara County region as Chief Customer Experience Officer at CenCal Health.
2022 – Genevieve Flores-Haro
Flores-Haro has dedicated her life’s work to strengthening access and social justice for our indigenous migrant population, advocating for equitable rights in all fields of life, and more. She was elected to the Oxnard Union High School District Board of Trustees in 2022.
2023 – Lynn Edmonds
During her many decades of public service, she founded and served as Executive Director of the Fillmore-based non-profit, One Step a la Vez, was on the founding board of the Boys & Girls Club of Fillmore, and was a founder of the Fillmore/Piru Big Brothers Big Sisters Program. In 2018, she was elected to Fillmore City Council and served as Mayor Pro Tempore.
2024 – Charleen Morla-Garcia
Charleen J. Morla-Garcia, born and raised in Oxnard, is a Filipina artist who has generously given back to the community, serving as a board or advisory member for various community-based organizations including Project Understanding, The City Center and Tender Life Maternity Home. She was recently appointed as Executive Director of the Filipino American Council of Ventura County.
