Assemblymember Steve Bennett Selects Housing Trust Fund Ventura County as 2024 Nonprofit of the Year

(SACRAMENTO, CA) – Assemblymember Steve Bennett (D-Ventura) honors Camarillo-based nonprofit Housing Trust Fund Ventura County as the 2024 California Nonprofit of the Year for Assembly District 38 (AD-38).

This is the ninth year of the California Nonprofit of the Year initiative, a state-wide effort honoring the critical role nonprofit organizations play in California.

"How we handle our housing crisis now dictates the future of our communities," said Assemblymember Bennett. "That is why the Housing Trust Fund's efforts to expand affordable and workforce housing plays a key role in addressing our crisis, and I am proud to uplift their work."

Steve Bennett represents the 38th Assembly District, which includes Camarillo, Fillmore, Ojai, Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Santa Paula, and Ventura. He is chair of the Budget Subcommittee No. 4 on Climate Change, Natural Resources, and Transportation.
