Assemblywoman Christy Smith to Host Financial Aid Workshop, Promoting College Readiness
SANTA CLARITA, CA — Assemblywoman Christy Smith (D-Santa Clarita) invites students and families of the 38th Assembly District to her financial aid workshop. Hosted in partnership with the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC), the event will go over state resources available to the public for college funding.
WHEN: Tuesday, Oct. 22, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
WHERE: The Centre (Sycamore Room)
20880 Centre Pointe Pkwy Santa Clarita, CA 91350
WHO: Assemblywoman Christy Smith and representatives from the California Student Aid Commission
CONTACT: Danni Wang, firstname.lastname@example.org 661-286-1565
“The burdens of the student debt crisis run counter to the promises of higher education,” Assemblywoman Smith said. “There are, however, widely untapped resources available that can help take down the high costs associated with college. The more students get out of the funds available through the state, the less they have to be reliant on loans in the long run.”
Assemblywoman Christy Smith represents California’s 38th Assembly District, which includes the communities of Santa Clarita, Simi Valley, Agua Dulce, Castaic, Santa Susana Knolls and North San Fernando Valley.
