Summer marks a little more than seven months since I took office. During this time, my team and I have hit the ground running to best represent the 38th Assembly District community. I authored bills addressing education affordability and accountability, health access, homeowner protections, child safety and more. I'm happy to report 12 of my bills made it to the State Senate for voting, with two already signed into law by the Governor. I'm also excited that the 2019-20 Budget incorporates district-specific funding, delivering state resources to our historically overlooked, underserved district.
My office has also worked hard to make sure that community members have a seat at the table where decisions are being made. In May, we launched our local advisory committees so there is local insight weigh-in on legislation. I look forward to serving the community with you alongside me.
It's an honor to represent the 38th Assembly District in Sacramento. Should you ever need assistance from a state agency, I encourage you to reach out to my office.
